Dear Parents,

The Lakewood Band Program offers many exciting opportunities to its members from 5^th through 12^th Grade. It is important to note that the 5^th grade band meets ONLY DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. The only evening commitments are two short concerts later in the year.

5^th grade band meets twice per week: Once during the students’ regular Music class time, and once from 12-1 on Fridays. Students not participating in band will have General Music during “Music Time” once per week.

Lakewood Band members are students with varied interests. As students grow older and are involved with more activities, we pride ourselves on being able to coordinate schedules with other coaches and sponsors. This allows students to participate in other activities in addition to band. These include church, all sports, cheerleading, drama, 4H, and many others. We currently have students who participate in EVERY VARSITY SPORTS PROGRAM.

Join us on Tuesday evening to learn about what we can do to enrich the life of YOUR student! This meeting will be brief and will include demonstrations of the various instruments by members of YOUR LAKEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL LANCER MARCHING BAND!
